Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the GlassPrompt application (“App”) offered by GlassPrompt (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
GlassPrompt provides an on-device teleprompter experience for recording video using compatible iPhone hardware. Features may evolve over time as described on the App Store listing or within the App.
Platform: The App is available only for iOS through Apple’s App Store. You must comply with Apple’s applicable terms and policies when installing or using the App.
No subscriptions: GlassPrompt does not bill you on a recurring subscription basis for access to the App. If the App is paid, it is offered as a standard App Store purchase (for example, a one-time paid download) unless explicitly stated otherwise on the App Store — not as an automatically renewing subscription managed by us.
2. Eligibility
You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction and meet any minimum age requirements Apple imposes for App Store accounts in your region. If you use the App on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
3. License
Subject to these Terms and your compliance with applicable law, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by Apple’s usage rules.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or reverse engineer the App except where prohibited restrictions are unenforceable under law;
- Circumvent security or usage limits;
- Use the App to infringe intellectual property or privacy rights of others;
- Use the App in violation of export control or sanctions laws.
4. User content
You retain rights to scripts, recordings, and other content you create using GlassPrompt (“User Content”). You are responsible for your User Content and for securing backups if needed.
To the extent necessary to operate and improve the App, you grant us a limited license to process User Content solely on-device as implemented by the App’s functionality, unless you separately agree to optional features that involve transmission or storage elsewhere (which would be described before use).
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the App. For example, you must not:
- Use the App while operating a vehicle or in any unsafe manner;
- Use the App to generate unlawful, harassing, deceptive, or harmful material;
- Attempt to interfere with the App’s operation or others’ devices;
- Violate Apple’s policies or guidelines applicable to apps or developer accounts.
6. Third-party services
The App may rely on Apple services (such as the App Store, Photos, or system frameworks). Your use of those services is subject to Apple’s terms and privacy policies.
7. Updates and availability
We may release updates that change features or compatibility. We may suspend or discontinue portions of the Service where reasonable. Nothing guarantees uninterrupted availability.
8. Disclaimers
THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
GlassPrompt helps you display scripts while recording video; we do not guarantee specific recording outcomes, audience results, legal compliance of your videos, or suitability for regulated industries without your own review.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP OR THESE TERMS.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE APP OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) TWENTY FIVE U.S. DOLLARS (US $25). IF THE APP IS FREE, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED TWENTY FIVE U.S. DOLLARS (US $25), UNLESS APPLICABLE LAW REQUIRES OTHERWISE.
10. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless GlassPrompt and its affiliates, directors, employees, and contractors from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your User Content or misuse of the App.
11. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary to address misuse, legal requirements, or discontinuation of the Service.
12. Apple-specific terms
If you downloaded the App from the App Store:
- These Terms are between you and GlassPrompt, not Apple;
- Apple is not responsible for the App or its content;
- Apple has no obligation to furnish maintenance or support for the App unless Apple chooses to do so under a separate agreement with you;
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple will have no warranty obligation with respect to the App;
- Apple and Apple’s subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms regarding your license to the App and may enforce those provisions against you.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, excluding conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer protections in your jurisdiction require otherwise.
14. Changes
We may modify these Terms by posting an updated version on this site and updating the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance unless applicable law requires additional consent steps.
